Shantarasa Retreats offer an insight and direct experience the four discrete states and bodies, the yoga of consciousness. We are conscious beings yet our busy lives rob us of that clarity and peace
Contemporary life has us so gripped by the physical external sphere - doing , achieving, meeting schedules, paying bills, so busy our minds and bodies are often exhausted - we need to pause, to breathe, to reflect quietly and experience spaciousness, to meet ourselves from a still place.
We need ways to cleanse, heal, let go, find the energy to re- inspire our lives and to know what is of real value.
Our Retreats draw upon a range of the yogic treasures such as:
Gentle asana suitable for anyone to cultivate prana (vital energy) and free the stored body tensions and imbalances
Breath awareness, simple pranayama, mudra, to bridge the physical and subtle nature, working directly with the energy body to regenerate and enliven
Yoga Nidra to heal and cleanse the psyche and our unconscious nature and to train lucid consciousness even in the deep sleep state, the sleep of the yogis
Self Observation, Self Inquiry to open our perception of who we are and why we struggle at times, simple witnessing practices
Mantra and Meditation to refine the vibration of the mind and heart and take us beyond it to our essential nature
Yoga has a vast tool box of ways to open us and awaken us
This way of practice and being is a sadhana (a path); it gives a beautiful orientation to life and all we choose to give our energy to; it generates a path through life with a full heart.
Keval and Sadhana have been living, studying and teaching the yogic path for 5 decades under the guidance of remarkable yogis.
They will share with you a rare experience of YOGA
