Guru Purnima Satsang | Chant | Chai | Community

$10.00

This wednesday evening, July 29th we celebrate Guru Purnima with a community offering.

Guru Purnima celebrates one of the quintessential aspects of the yogic path

Guru - the means to move from darkness to light

We celebrate the teachers, the teachings and the time honoured traditions of the yogic path. The essential Guru is Shakti herself, the dynamic energetic root of creation and existence and agency of our transformation and development as yogis and human beings.

We have all benefited greatly in our societies from the introduction of yoga in the form of practices and teachings that guide our modern lives in ways that give them greater meaning, depth, and intention, as well a means to health, wellbeing and powerful transformation of our physiology, our hearts, minds and spiritual development.

We are all indebted to the yogic tradition, its lineages, teachers, traditions, texts, guidance, and encouragement to know ourselves truly and find our pathways to wholeness and greater understanding.

It is great to pause and give thanks and to reflect on just what yoga offers us as seekers of truth, healing, purpose and ways to be of service as well as the ultimate reckoning with the human condition and realisation of freedom and liberation.

Come join us for a lovely evening of chanting and community

People traditionally bring a share plate (prasad), we supply delicious traditional chai.
