Teacher Training intents and outcomes

To educate and inspire yoga instructors in the values, traditions and sources of yoga who are then able to place contemporary practice in an enhanced and meaningful context
To train facilitators to draw and evolve their teaching skills from a well established and intelligent personal practice
To educate teachers capable of designing specific programs to meet a broad range of individual needs, including evolving practice for experienced practitioners through increasing phases of depth and skill
The 50hr Pre-Post Natal Teacher Training will equip yoga teachers with the skills and knowledge to lead prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, and to enable safe guidance of prenatal and postnatal students that arrive in a general class setting

Shantarasa Pre-Post Natal Yoga Teacher Training is facilitated by Pru Davey.
Pru has been working with pregnant and postnatal women for over 35 years as a Midwife, currently at the Womens and Childrens Hospital Adelaide. Pru is also a qualified yoga teacher with many years of practice and teaching, having taught prenatal yoga for over 20 years. Through her extensive Midwifery and Yogic practice and teaching, Pru brings a unique depth of insight and awareness to teacher training participants.
